Terms of Service
Last updated 12 June 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of acaunty (the “Service”), available at acaunty.co.uk. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Who we are
acaunty provides online exam-practice tools for ICAEW ACA students. We are an independent study aid and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to ICAEW.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use.
3. Subscriptions and billing
- The Service offers a free tier and a paid subscription. Pricing is shown on our pricing page and at checkout.
- Paid subscriptions are billed monthly in advance through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled.
- You can cancel at any time from Settings → Manage subscription, which opens Stripe’s customer portal. Your access continues until the end of the billing period you have already paid for.
- We may change our prices; we will give reasonable notice of any change before it applies to your next renewal.
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- copy, scrape, resell, or redistribute our questions, explanations, or other content;
- share your account or access with others;
- attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the Service; or
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
5. Intellectual property
All content in the Service, including questions, explanations, and design, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property law. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the content for your own exam preparation only.
6. No guarantee of exam results
The Service is a study aid. Our questions are practice material and are not official ICAEW exam questions. We do not guarantee any particular exam result, and using the Service is not a substitute for ICAEW’s own materials or professional tuition.
7. Limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss of profits, data, or opportunity. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
8. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the “last updated” date. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
